Compression set explanation
The compression set (abbreviation: DVR) indicates the extent to which a deformed material returns to its original shape after a certain period of time and at a certain temperature.
A DVR of 0% means that the material has recovered 100%, i.e., fully returned to its original shape. A DVR of 100% means that the material has recovered 0%, i.e., not at all. DVR values are especially important for sealing applications or damping elements.
