General

TPE can be 100% recycled in the production process, increasing resource efficiency and reducing waste generation.

ALLOD specific

High-quality TPE compounds with more than 70% recycled raw material content possible depending on the application. Depending on customer requirements, realizable with PIR or PCR content. This reduces the need for virgin fossil-based materials and lowers CO2 emissions.

Own recycling plant

An in-house recycling plant to recycle purchased used components as flexibly and efficiently as possible while ensuring the highest quality for our compounds. On request, customers’ production waste can also be used in a closed-loop system.

Bio-based content

In many materials, we can replace fossil resources with bio-based alternatives. This enables us to offer TPE with a defined bio-based content.

Cradle-to-gate system

Since 2019, ALLOD has been working on a cradle-to-gate system to provide its customers with transparent information on CO2 emissions for almost all TPE compounds. This quantification of emissions is required by many manufacturers to calculate and optimize the greenhouse gas emissions of their end products.

Recyclability

Due to its property profile and broad adaptability, TPE can be used in many applications as a substitute for conventional rubber products. This enables better recyclability of the end product and improves resource efficiency.

Strong commitment to research projects in the field of sustainability, e.g. ◦ “Wood-TPE” – TPE with residual wood from the furniture industry, in order to keep as many raw materials as possible in a closed loop and increase the proportion of bio-based raw materials. ◦ Debond on Demand: targeted, sustainable separation of TPE in multi-component parts to avoid contamination in the recycling process stream and keep it clean.

Sustainability concepts

In addition to materials with recycled raw materials, ALLOD is working on alternative materials in the field of foamed TPE materials to significantly reduce weight compared to conventional material solutions, or on thermoplastic special compounds with increased stiffness and strength as metal substitutes. In this way, new holistic sustainability concepts can be realized with our materials through innovative special solutions.
